Bhubaneswar: With the stage all set for the second T20 International match between India and South Africa to be held at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, the authorities have, keeping in view the security of the players and the match, have imposed certain restrictions on visitors. There are also traffic movement guidelines issued by the Commissionerate Police for the day.
While the entry to the stadium for the ticket holders will start at 3 PM, there are restrictions on what they can carry to the stadium gallery and what not. Wearing of Mask has been made mandatory for the visitors. All officials, police personnel and authorities have also been asked to adhere to this. Water bottles, helmets, coins have been barred inside the stadium. To reduce overcrowding in the entrance points the gates are being opened an hour earlier for the match.
The authorities have put restrictions on the entry of water bottles, helmets, coins, match boxes, lighters, bags, food packets, explosives, fire crackers, banners, metal objects, radios, glass bottles, laptops, musical instruments etc. Strict instructions have been given to the police personnel engaged for detailed frisking at the entry points. Only mobile phones and eye glasses are allowed inside the stadium. The OCA authorities have made arrangements for drinking water inside the stadium. There will be food stalls also for the visitors. Once the visitors come out of the stadium. They cannot go inside again.
People coming from Bhubaneswar or Jagatpur will have to take the National Highway to Sikharpur and from there Gurudwara – Jobra – Matamatha – Gadagadia Mandir – to gate number 14 of the stadium. Then the visitors have to proceed to their respective gates and galleries as allotted in the tickets. People coming from Patia Bhubaneswar need to take the Raghunarhpur – Baranga – Trisulia – Satichaura – Cantonment to reach the Gate number 14.
Parking facilities have been made at the lower Baliyatra ground and the fees range from Rs 10 to Rs 50 according to the vehicle. For four wheelers, the parking fee is Rs 50 and for two wheelers, the fee is Rs 20. For three wheelers, the visitors have to pay Rs 30 and for bicycles the fee is Rs 10. The parking gates will be open from 8 AM to 11 PM.
The lower Balijatra Parking will be for common visitors. The upper Bali Yatra ground Parking is reserved for personnel belonging to the emergency services such as fire, police and ambulance. The OCA members can park their vehicles at the Cricket Academy after entering through the Gate number 1. For media personnel, parking facilities have been made near the Cambridge School premises. Parking facilities for the BCCI officials, match referees, umpires, OCA officials, and guests have been made at the St Xavier School premises through Gate Number 14.
The Commissionerate Police has made elaborate security arrangements for the match. Three DCPs and seven Additional DCPs will be leading the security during the whole day. 32 ACPs, 45 Inspectors, 270 ASIs, 113 traffic personnel, 62 platoons of forces and 43 women police and 170 home guards have been engaged for smooth management of the event.
