Sharjah: Rajasthan Royals skipper Steve Smith returned to action when his team took on MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in their opening IPL contest on Tuesday in Sharjah.
Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first against the Steve Smith-led Rajasthan Royals in the 5th match of IPL 2020.
Steve Smith has brought up his 69 and looks set to provide RR a strong finish. CSK get wickets towards the back end of the innings to stage a comeback. Lungi Ngidi gets Sanju Samson and David Miller gets run out as CSK get two wickets in quick succession. Sanju Samson smashed a 74 off just 32 balls. Overs 5 to 8 fetched 70 runs even as Samson and Smith added 121 runs for the second wicket.
