Strict Action to Be Taken for Provocative Content on Social Media about Ayodhya Verdict: Odisha DGP

Bhubaneswar: After the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict in the Ayodhya case, Odisha Police is on high alert to maintain peace in the State.

The police will take strong action against anybody who posts objectionable and provocative content on social media to disturb communal peace, said Odisha DGP BK Sharma here today.

The State Police is closely watching on social media to prevent spread of inflammatory posts or messages.

The Odisha Government has deployed police force across the state in order to maintain law and order.

Adequate security arrangements have been put in major place in the state, said the DGP.

He also appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony.
Earlier today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik appealed to the people to accept the judgement of the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya title dispute and ensure peace and harmony.
