Suresh Mahaptra Appointed Chif Secretary, Asit Chairman Of Western Odisha Development Council

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, senior IAS officer and Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Odisha.

With the fresh appointment, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra will replace outgoing Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy has been appointed as the Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council.

He will also be the Principal Advisor to Chief Minister on Regional Development, Tourism, Agribusiness and Industry.

Senior IAS officer Pradeep Kumar Jena, who is serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in Revenue & Disaster Management Department and the Special Relief Commissioner, has been appointed as the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary to Odisha Government.
