New Delhi: Trinamool Congress Member of Parliament from Rajya Sabha Santanu Sen has been suspended for the remaining part of the session for snatching Information Technology Minister Aswini Vainaw’s papers while he was making a statement in the house. Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu announced his suspension after Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan moved the motion and said in the motion of suspension that Sen’s behaviour was unbecoming of a Rajya Sabha member.
Minister Aswini Vaishnaw was making a statement on the issue of Pegasus amidst huge uproar by the opposition parties yesterday. The Upper house was adjourned till 12:30 after TMC members protested against the suspension.
