Bhubaneswar: Long queues of young men and women were seen in various hospitals of Bhubaneswar today morning as the much awaited 18+ Covid-19 vaccination program begins. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has made all arrangements for the smooth roll out of the drive. Most of the Urban Primary Health Centers and Community Health Centers saw people coming with their identity proofs for the booked slots. While the slot booking for the 18+ category began on Saturday, all slots seem to have been booked.
While the people between the ages of 18 to 44 will be given vaccines from 8 am to 1 pm, others will be given in the afternoon between 3pm to 6 pm. BMC has also made special arrangements for the Covid Warriors to vaccines at the Jatri Niwas.
Odisha is one among the few states in the country which could roll out the vaccination drive for the younger category. The state had received One Lakh fifty thousand doses of Covaxin on Friday evening and conducted a dry run on Saturday.
