War Against COVID-19: Odisha Govt to Hire Medicos,Paramedics on Contact Basic

Bhubaneswar: With the State Government making all-out efforts in fight against deadly Coronavirus, the Odisha Family & Welfare department has decided to hire doctors, nurses and paramedics (including retired persons) on contract basis to serve people in various State-run hospitals amid coronavirus outbreak.

They will be given appointment on short-term contract basis for a period of three months till June 30, which may be extended, if required.

The contractual doctors will be provided a monthly honorarium for their services in government hospitals as mentioned below, the advertisement noted.

The honorariums include:
Specialist– Rs 5,000/Day
Medical Officer With MBBS Degree— Rs 3,000/Day
Staff Nurse —Rs 1,000/Day
Laboratory technician —Rs 1,000/Day
Pharmacist —Rs 1,000/Day
Radiographers —–Rs 1,000/Day
MPHW (Male/Female) —Rs 1,000/Day

The numbers suggested as many as 100 individuals with some Covid-19 symptoms have been identified in Odisha while the hospital isolation cases had posted a spike to touch 45 on Tuesday.

Eligible doctors, staff nurses and other paramedics who wish to join may walk-in in the respective CDM and PHOs office or apply in prescribed format given in the website https.//dhsodisha.nic.in along with scanned document with proof of their qualification, age, identity, Odisha Medical Council Registration or other registration and photograph in the email ID of respective CDM and PHOs.
