Bhubaneswar: The Winter Session of 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly will be held before December 31, informed Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on Wednesday.
As per rules, the Assembly sessions should have 60 working days, but only the Assembly has sat for 20 working days so far. The House needs to sit for another 40 working days before December 31, he said.
“We are waiting for Governor’s decision to start the winter session of the House. After getting the approval from the Governor, the calendar of the winter session will be prepared,” the Speaker added.
Earlier, the Monsoon Session of the Assembly was held following Covid-19 guidelines and concluded on October 6.
