Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has praised the people who donate blood regularly and urged all to join the noble cause.
Every blood donor is a life saver and there is no greater act of humanity than donating blood, the Odisha CM mentioned in a Twitter post.
“On World Blood Donor Day, salute everyone who donate blood regularly and urge all to join the noble cause”, Naveen wrote.
Every year, on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
