Kolkata: Former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha has joined the Trinamool Congress ( TMC) ahead of the West Bengal Assembly election.
The veteran leader had quit the BJP in 2018.
Sinha joined the TMC at the Trinamool Bhawan in Kolkata in the presence of Derek O Brien, Sudip Bandopadhyay, and Subrata Mukherjee, according to reports.
The elections for 294 seats of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly are scheduled to be held between March 27 to April 29 in eight phases.
