Zero Tolerance to Corruption: Naveen Dismisses Six More Officials

Bhubaneswar: In pursuance with his zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dismissed six more officials from service and stopped pensions of four others. Action against these officials was taken after they were convicted by the Vigilance court.

The dismissed officials are, Junior clerk at Kuanrmunda Tehsil under Sundergarh Collectorate of Commerce and Transport department Sanjit Kumar Ray; Former Assistant Engineer of Baripada ITDA, Baikuntha Bihari Pradhan; Dr Bhagirathi Biswal, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry department; Junior Engineer at Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department, Dhenkanal Basant Kumar Patra; Kutra block Panchayat Executive Officer under Sundargarh Collectorate Trilochan Seth and Bonai block Panchayat Executive Officer Astam Chandra Patel.

The officials whose pension facilities pension have been stopped, are Goutam Chandra Prusty,
former Executive Engineer in Water Resources department; Former GM of OCC Bikram Keshari Patnaik; Rabindra Kumar Jena, Former Establishment Officer Office of Chief Engineer, Sewerage Board office in Cuttack and Former Junior Engineer in Baripada ITDA Rabi Narayan Mohanty.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had dismissed as many 15 officials from service and stopped pensions of two others after they were convicted by the Vigilance court.
