26 IAS, 14 IPS gets Promotion in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development ahead of new year, Odisha Government has promoted as many as 26 IAS officers and 14 IPS officers on Saturday.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department, four 1995 batch IAS officers including Hemant Sharma, Bishnupada Sethi, Chithra Arumugam and Sushil Kumar Lohani have been promoted to the grade of Principal Secretary effective from January 1, 2020.

Similarly, in IPS cadre, three  1995 batch IPS officers, Radha Kishan Sharma, Saumendra Kumar Priyadarshi, Dr. Santosh Bala and  have been promoted to the grade of Additional DGP.

While one 2000 batch IAS Temjenwapang Ao and four 2004 batch IAS officers, Roopa Mishra, Niranjan Sahu, Prasanta Kumar Senapati and Sundarlal Seal have been promoted to the Super Time Scale in Level-14 of Pay Matrix in IAS.

Tweleve 2007 batch IAS officers, Aravind Agrawal, Balwant Singh, Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav, Gyanaranjan Das, Bijay Kumar Nayak, Md. Rasid Khan, Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, Ranjan Kumar Das, Sangramjit Nayak, Susanta Mohapatra, Biswanath Acharya, Sarat Chandra Nayak and Ravindra Pratap Singh have been promoted to the Selection Grade in Level-13 of Pay Matrix in IAS, the notification said.

Likewise, five 2011 batch IAS officers, Arindam Dakua, Samarth Verma, Reghu G, Ashish Thakare and K Sudarshan Chakravarthy have been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade (Non-Functional) in Level-12 of the Pay Matrix in IAS.

Two 2002 batch IPS officers, Narasingha Bhoi and Amitendra Nath Sinha have been promoted to the grade of IGP.

Five 2006 batch IPS officers, Anirudh Kumar Singh, Anup Kumar Sahoo, Amrita Dash, Anoop Krishna and Sudha Singh have been promoted to the grade of DIG  in Level-13A of Pay Matrix in IPS.

Four 2007 batch IPS officers, Sarthak Sarangi, Awinash Kumar, Niti Shekhar and Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao have been promoted to the Selection Grade in Level-13 of Pay Matrix in IPS.

All the above promotions will be effective from January 1, 2020, mentioned the said notification.
