Cuttack: Secretary 5-T Initiatives V K Pandian today paid a surprise visit to the SCB Medical College and Hospital to review the various healthcare related issues in the hospital. Pandian, along with Health Secretary Pramod Meherda and Works Secretary Krishan Kumar and NHM Mission Director Shalini Pandit visited the Hospital and interacted with some of the officials regarding availability of services and their quality. They also discussed the issues related to the medical with the hospital superintendent and other officials.
The government is contemplating a special development package for the premier medical college of Odisha to make it one of the best in India. The 5-T Secretary will discuss various other issues related to SCB Medical College Hospital with the authorities later in the day.
Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik will have a meeting today at 6.30pm at Loka Seva Bhavan with HODs, students and administrative authorities on the development and patient welfare efforts in SCB Medical College.
