Two Die In Head-On Collision Between Trucks In Jujumura; Road Blocked Due To Gas Leakage

Sambalpur: In a tragic accident on the National Highway 55 near Jujumura Police Station, two persons died and two severely injured after two trucks crashed head on. The trucks caught fire after the accident leaving no time for rescue of both the drivers. One of the trucks, a gas tanker was carrying LPG.

Police and fire personnel who reached the spot could douse the fire but due to gas leakage the national highway had to be blocked for vehicular traffic.

Hundreds of vehicles have been stranded in both sides of the Highway. Officials from BPCL are trying to close the tanker leakage and shift the truck from the accident spot. The accident occurred in the wee hours today.
