Chatrapur: The Biju Janata Dal MP Pramila Bisoyi has pledged Rs 2 crore and three month’s salary to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, which is sweeping through the country.
The Aska Lok Sabha MP contributed Rs 2 crore from her MPLAD fund and three month’s salary to tackle the deadly disease.
Bisoyi donated Rs 1 crore towards the Central Government’s COVID-19 fund and contributed Rs 1.3 crore to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (COVID-19 fund).
The BJD MP met the Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange at his residence here and handed over the cheque.
Pramila Bisoyi also appealed to the people to strictly follow the guidelines of the Central and State governments on COVID-19 and not to venture out their homes to contain the spread of the virus.
