Subarnapur District Admin Starts Telemedicine Service to Beat COVID-19

Subarnapur: In yet another unique initiative to ensure social distancing as a measure to prevent spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the Subarnapur district administration has started the Telemedicine Service for the home delivery of essential medicines to the people.

This has been announced by Subarnapur Collector Monisha Banerjee on her Twitter page.

Under the initiative, home delivery of essential medicines and life-saving drugs will be made over call or WhatsApp within the jurisdiction of the municipality on prescription of a doctor through the panel of medical store suggested by the district admin.

Earlier, the administration has started the telehealth service to facilitate remote treatment of patients without requiring them to visit hospitals for minor ailments that don’t require intensive hospital care in view of the lockdown imposed the government to beat the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Apart from this, the administration has also started home delivery of grocery products to the people over call.
