Bhubanewar: In a bid to put in place a robust health infrastructure in the State , Odisha Cabinet under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen has approved a proposal to extend the Nirmal scheme to “Nirmal Plus” and “Nirmal Plus Plus” in the State.
A whopping Rs 1998 crore and fifteen lakh will be spent in a span of five years under the programme.
Fourty five health institutions including four new medical colleges, nine Ayush colleges and thirty two nursing colleges have been included in the ‘Nirmal Plus’ programme. Similarly, three medical colleges, Capital Hospital, and other three health institutions have been included in the ‘Nirmal Plus Plus’ programme.
Odisha health Assurance Society has also got the nod of the Odish cabinet. The beneficiaries of Odisha State Treatment Fund (OSTF) and Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) have been included in the programme. As many as 70 lakh households will be benefitted under the programme.
Each beneficiary will get assured treatment of up to 5 lakhs and it is 10 lakh for a female patient.
