Naveen’s Mantra for New Members: Lead a Simple Life, Gets Closer to People

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal president and Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik has a new mantra for the newly elected members of the assembly. While thanking them for making him the leader of the BJD legislative party, Naveen gave them the secret of success. In a spirited speech to the members, Naveen said “We have to honour the faith people have on us by sincere and dedicated hard work”.

Revealing the secret of the continuous success of Biju Janata Dal, the chief minister said, it has two points – keeping people in focus and working for the people.

According to him, politics is not complicated when we keep people and their welfare in the forefront. The Chief Minister also gave the mantra to the newly elected members saying “Many of you have come for the first time to the assembly. I welcome you all. Always remember to lead a simple life. When you are simple people are close to you.” He also thanked them all and urged them to work hard and take Odisha to the next level of development. 

The Biju Janata Dal won a thumping majority again in the 147 member assembly by securing 112 seats. Naveen Patnaik, who is going to be the Chief Minister of Odisha for a record fifth term will take oath of office on the 29th of May.
