Bhubaneswar: The third and final phase of human clinical trials of Covaxin, country’s indigenous COVID-19 vaccine, will be conducted at a SUM hospital here in city.
The vaccine under clinical trials to neutralize the deadly virus has reached its final stage, informed Dr E Venkata Rao, Principal Investigator of the trial at Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital.
The IMS and SUM Hospital is the only medical institution in Odisha among 19 sites across 10 States in the country selected by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) for conducting the human trials of COVID-19 vaccine developed by Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech.
