Naveen Expresses Happiness as 8 Odisha Students Selected for Phase 2 ‘AI for Youth’

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his happiness as eight students from Odisha have been selected for Phase 2 of Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Youth programme organized jointly by Electronics Information Technology Ministry of India and Intel.

“Glad to know that eight students from #Odisha have been selected for Phase 2 of Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Youth programme organised jointly by @GoI_MeitY and @IntelIndia. Wish them best for future”, the Chief Minister tweeted.

The Responsible AI for Youth Programme is aimed at imparting education and skills in AI to students in government schools. The programme will aim to bring AI education and skills at the school level, with focus on students who are studying in government schools.

The total number of registrations from 35 states and UTs were 52,628 students. The first level of AI training was completed by 11,466 students. A total of 2,536 teachers from 2,252 schools also attended the orientation sessions.

In Phase 2, the selected students will be imparted training and their ideas will be converted into working prototype. Among them, the top 30 will be selected.
