AIIMS Bhubaneswar Is the Second Cleanest Hospital in India: Busiest Among Six New AIIMs

Bhubaneswar: Adding another feather to its cap, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences has secured the distinction for being the second cleanest hospital in India. AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been adjudged as the second-best hospital for the second time in a row among the Category B Hospitals of the country for adopting best practices of cleanliness and hygiene.

AIIMS has been awarded Rs 1 crore under the Kayakalpa Scheme of the Central Government after being evaluated through a rigorous process of internal assessment, peer assessment and external assessment through various stringent parameters including hospital upkeep, sanitation and hygiene, waste management, infection control and other support services.

As per a report published, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been rated the best Public Hospital in the State of Odisha and the best (Public & Private) Hospitals in Bhubaneswar city, besides being the third-best Hospital in Eastern India in both Private & Public Hospital category.

Established in the year 2012, AIIMS Bhubaneswar also recorded the highest number of Outdoor patients amongst the six new AIIMs hospitals set up in India.
