Berhampur: All schools in Ganjam district will remain closed today due to heavy rainfall , announced Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
However, teachers and staffs will remain present in their respective schools during working hours, directed the Collector.
Incessant rain lashed several parts in Ganjam district since Wednesday as low pressure area over westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal intensified into a well marked low pressure area at over the same region.
The Met Department has forecast that heavy to heavy rainfall will likely to occur in the district and other areas in many parts of Odisha today.
