Balangir: A senior clerk in Muribahal Tahasil Office in Balangir district was caught red-handed by vigilance sleuths while accepting bribe on Monday.
Asit Kumar Joshi, senior clerk-cum-record keeper at Muribahal Tahasil Office wascaught red-handed by the officers of vigilance, Sambalpur Division while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 28,000 from complaint Thabir Sahu for issue of Record of Rights (ROR)in favour of the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been seized. A case has been registered in this connection and the investigation is underway, the vigilance department said.
