Bhubaneswar: The President of India Ramnath Kobind has approved the compulsory retirement of IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak. Odisha Government had recommended for the compulsory retirement of Abhay Kanta Pathak, the 1987 batch IFS officer from service.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been continuously emphasizing on high degree of morality and integrity in public service. As part of the zero tolerance policy towards corruption, the state Government had recommended the President of India for compulsory retirement of the 1987-batch Odisha cadre IFS officer, an official release said.
The Odisha Vigilance Department had arrested Abhay Kant Pathak in November last year on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.
