Big Development: Odisha Govt Clamps Lockdown in Entire State. Coronavirus: Entire Odisha Under Lockdown Till March 29
Bhubaneswar: In major development, the Odisha government today extended lockdown to another 16 districts.
With this the entire State has come under the lowdown from 24th March midnight till 29th midnight.
Addressing a press conference, Odisha Government Chief Spokesperson on COVID-19, Subroto Bagchi said, the lockdown has been extended to all 30 districts.
Notably, in the first phase Odisha Government imposed lock down in 5 district and yesterday it extended to 9 more districts including Puri, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur. Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda.
And today the lockdown was extended to remaining 16 districts to fight against deadly Coronavirus.
As per an official notification, no public transport, including of taxis and autos is allowed, trains and busses have already been stopped.
The State Government has also decided to mark stickers on homes of those advised quarantine.
District magistrates and municipal commissioners have been to paste such stickers mentioning the duration of quarantine on the homes, allowing no one else from the community to visit the quarantined member or family.
Integrated Disease Surveillance program (IDSP) cell and local police station will keep a check.
