Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal is planning to celebrate its 23rd Foundation Day on December 26 on a grand scale.
The BJD, which retained the power for the fifth consecutive term winning the 2019 Assembly elections, has decided to observe the Foundation Day in all constituencies in Odisha.
Speaking about it, BJD vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra said that the party has planned to celebrate its 23rd Foundation Day at the party headquarters here and in all constituencies across the State.
“Biju Janata Dal, a party which was formed in a situation basing on the hopes and aspirations of the people of Odisha will be completing 22 years and stepping into its 23rd year. On that day, our party’s foundation day will be celebrated at our State office in the presence of our party president Naveen Patnaik,” he said.
The ruling party has planned to organize various programmes to make its Foundation Day a grand event, sources said.
