BJP Leader D Purandeswari Unaware about BJD Govt’s Zero Tolerance on Violence: BJD

Bhubaneswar: BJP Odisha in-charge D Purandeswari is unaware that the BJD-led Odisha Government has zero tolerance on violence and has always taken the strict action against the culprits, said the ruling Biju Janata Dal on Thursday.

Coming down heavily on D. Purandareswari over her remarks on the Mahanga issue, BJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sasmit Patra said the BJP leader is probably unaware that the BJD Government has zero tolerance on violence.

The BJD Government has always taken the strictest action against the culprits due to which the people of Odisha have been blessing the BJD for five successive terms in Government, he said.

Purandareswari is also unaware that the accused in the Mahanga case have been arrested within 48 hours along with the main accused who had hit with the weapon, the BJD spokesperson said.

The strictest action is being taken in the Mahanga case and the victims will surely get justice, Patra said while adding that the BJD Government is committed to it.
