BJP Spreading Misinformation on Mo Sarkar out of Frustration: BJD

Bhubaneswar: Even as the Odisha Government is geared up for proper implementation of “Mo Sarkar” initiative and top bureaucrats are touring across the State to oversee its implementation and getting first-hand feedback from the patients and relatives for better healthcare services to the people, the opposition BJP is feeling insecure and jealous of the programme’s overwhelming response from the people across the State, said the ruling Biju Janata Dal.

Addressing media, BJD spokesperson Lelin Mohanty alleged that the BJP is creating confusion among the people by spreading misinformation about the Mo Sarkar programme out of frustration.

He also appealed BJP not to create confusion and cooperate with the government in providing better healthcare service to poor people.

Describing the objective and features of “Mo Sarkar”, Mohanty said its primary objective is to get first hand feedback from the people on six parameters that include behavior of the medical staff, demand of grafts or free healthcare without sending patients to private clinics, providing free medicines, free health services, providing hygienic and nutritious food and cleanliness in hospital premises.

The feedback helps to rectify loopholes if any and come up with even better health services initiatives to the poor people, he added.

Unveiling scathing attack on the BJP, the BJD spokesperson further said that the BJP is raising the issue of infrastructure and shortage of doctors, but they must understand that “Mo Sarkar” initiative is no way connected with the infrastructure or dealt with shortage of doctors. It is meant for taking feedback from patients and their relatives on the six parameters.

“We motivate doctors to behave well with the patients and provide better services to them free of cost”, he said.

He also asked why BJP is not supporting such citizen centric initiative of the Naveen government.
