Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday paid homage to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 151th birth anniversary.

The Chief Minister paid a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and said that the ahimsa icon’s immortal ideals transcend the bounds of race, religion and country.

Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals will continue to be our guiding force, Naveen said.

“Humble tributes to the greatest apostle of peace and non-violence on Gandhi Jayanti. The ahimsa icon’s immortal ideals transcend the bounds of race, religion and country. They will continue to be our guiding force”, the Odisha CM tweeted.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on this day in 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat.
