Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the annual Adivasi Mela 2021 at Adivasi Exhibition Ground Unit 1 here today.
An initiative of the SC/ST Development Department, the Adivasi Mela showcases the rich, pristine, colourful, vibrant cultural diversity and heritage of ethnic communities of Odisha in its varied and myriad form on the exhibition ground.
The characteristic art, architecture, craft, cuisine, material culture and tribal products adorned the ground that gives visitors an immersive experience.
Locals and people from different parts of the country and abroad visit this unique exhibition-cum- cultural fair every year.
The fair serves as a mini tribal museum that enlightens people about various tribes in the State.
The fair will continue till February 9.
