Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today visited the Mission Shakti Mela organized by the Directorate of Mission Shakti at the IDCO Exhibition ground here.
Naveen visited various stalls managed by the members of the Women Self Help Groups ((WSHGs) from across Odisha.
Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu was present on the occasion.
Sujatha Kartikeyan, Commissioner-cum-Director, Mission Shakti, briefed the Chief Minister about the stalls and SHG products.
The first ever Mission Shakti Mela aims at promoting products prepared by women SHGs and providing more scope for economic empowerment to rural women.
More than 500 women members of 262 women self-help groups (SHGs) and producer groups (PGs) from 30 districts are exhibiting their products at the Mela, which will continue till December 16.
