Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has imposed Prohibitory orders under Section 144 in the twin city which will be in force from 9pm tonight to avoid large congregation on New Year eve.
Speaking to media Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi. Sarangi said, “The prohibitory order will be in force from 9 PM today in the cities to avoid large congregation.”
As many as 40 platoons of police forces will be deployed at different places of the Twin Cities, he added.
The Police Commissioner also requested the residents of the twin cities not to organize any party in their apartments and residential areas.
Earlier today, the State government has imposed the night curfew from 10 PM of tonight to 5 AM tomorrow morning across Odisha.
