Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital city has reported 87 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, maintaining its downward trend in fresh infections.
As per the data shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), as many as 87 persons have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours and 237 persons recovered from the disease during the same period from the city.
Of the new cases, 19 are the quarantine cases and the rest 68 are the local contacts, the BMC said.
The number of active cases in the city stands at 1570.
Bhubaneswar had registered 93 new cases on Thursday and 110 cases on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, around 50 percent of residents in the BMC area have developed antibodies against coronavirus, as per the third phase of sero-survey.
