Bhubaneswar: BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra donated his three month’s salary to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to help the State in fighting the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Inspired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik donating his three month’s salary on March 23, which happened to be Sasmit’s birthday, the Rajya Sabha contributed towards the CMRF, a statement issued by Patra said.
Reiterating that extraordinary circumstance demands extraordinary response, the Odisha CM donated his three months’ salary to CMRF COVID19 Fund to help those affected by the pandemic.
The CM has also appealed all to donate generously to provide humanitarian help to the affected.
