New Delhi: Internet giant Google has asked all its North American employees to work from home until at least April 10 if their role permits due to coronavirus (COVID-19), according to reports.
Previously, the US-based company had told employees in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dublin, and Seattle to work from home in recent days.
Recently, a number of large tech companies had already instituted similar policies in the northwest after an outbreak began in Washington.
Google is also establishing a COVID-19 fund, by which all its temporary staff and vendors can take paid sick leave if they show symptoms of coronavirus.
