COVID-19: Odisha Govt to Send Seven-Member Health Team to Ganjam for Strengthening Containment

Bhubaneswar: With the spike in COVID-19 cases in the Ganjam district following the arrival of migrants, the Odisha Government has decided to send a seven member team to Ganjam for strengthening, containment, surveillance and medical response.

The team will led by Director Health Services, with representatives from WHO and ICMR RMRC, Bhubaneswar.

Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital (MKCGMCH) is also supplementing the local administration in containment strategy.

Meanwhile, District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said it will help in curbing the spread of Coronavirus further.

Ganjam district has reported 84 positive cases so far.
