Sambalpur: The Sambalpur University has been closed till July 13 in view of rising COVID-19 cases in Sambalpur district.
The university office and PG departments will remain closed from tomorrow till July 13, informed the Vice Chancellor of varsity.
“In view of the rising cases of COVID-19 in Sambalpur and around Burla, as a preventive measure it is decided to close the University Office as well as the PG Departments for a week – from July 7-13,” stated an order issued by the VC.
“Any further development in this regard will be posted in the University website. However, all the employees of the University are required to keep their mobile phones switched on and should be available on urgent notice/call. The employees who are not coming to office will work from home,” the order said.
