Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the national lockdown till April 30 in the wake of spike in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country.
During a video conference with the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of other States, Naveen made several important suggestions for the containment of the Coronavirus.
The Odisha CM reiterated that train and air services should not be resumed till April 30.
He also suggested that Agri and allied activities including MGNRGES should be operational maintaining social distance.
The Odisha CM also urged his counterparts to take care of Odias stranded in their states.
He said that his government will continue to coordinate in this regard.
“Our state will continue to take care of workers from outside who are in Odisha”, the CM reaffirmed.
Notably, Odisha has already extended the lockdown till April 30 to curb the spread of the deadly disease.
