Bhubaneswar: As always, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has once again won the hearts of the people of Odisha by announcing free Covid-19 vaccination for all. With this, he has reassured that he is standing behind for his family members – the four and half crore people of Odisha, at this critical juncture when the nation is facing its worst ever pandemic.
Naveen Patnaik, the people’s chief minister of Odisha has never let the people of the state down come any difficult situation. He has stood with them in all the catastrophes and this one will also be overcome. Keeping his commitment for the betterment of the people of Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has declared that all the people of the state will be provided free vaccines against Corona virus. Though it will have a big impact on the exchequer, the government is going to take up the burden for the wellbeing of the people. The government has earmarked Rs 2000 Crore for vaccinating all the eligible people between the age group of 18 to 44 years i.e., 1.93 crore people. The government of Odisha has also taken immediate steps and placed orders in this regard with the Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech. While the government of Odisha placed an order for 377.00 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine with the SII, another order for 10.34 lakh doses of Covaxin vaccine has been given to Bharat Biotech.
As a head of the family called Odisha, Naveen today showed that no obstacle can come in the way of keeping the people of the state safe and secure. In the last one year, we have seen various initiatives by the government of Odisha amidst the pandemic. There were livelihoods issues, there were health issues, and there was reverse migration. All of them were tackled by the administration. And now even as the second wave of the pandemic threatening once again the people of Odisha, the robust government mechanism is ready to fight any eventuality.
Naveen’s unquestionable commitment towards the people of Odisha is seen in all the activities of the state. Starting from helping the roadside vendors to incentivising women self help group members in coming forward during the pandemic, Naveen has silently united all against the pandemic. Today, the state is standing tall against any eventuality with his leadership.
While free vaccination to the people should have been a priority for the Central Government, it left the issue to the states. While the pandemic has already crippled the economy of the state, this would be another big burden for the government, but considering the situation and priority, the Odisha government decided for it.
Announcing the decision of the state government, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that each and every life is important. He once again requested the people of Odisha with folded hands to follow Covid appropriate behaviour. It is very rare today to see a humble leader of the state requesting its people in folded hands and asking to obey some rules for the betterment of the mankind. That is Naveen Patnaik. The people’s leader. The patriarch of a family of four and a half crore.
