Ganjam Collector Appeals to People Not to Roam Around Quarantine Centres

Berhampur: Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today appealed to the people not to roam or gather near the quarantine centres where migrants travelling back to the district will be placed.

In a video message, Kulange said stringent action will be taken against those who disobey the order.

The Collector also thanked the people for sincerely following the lockdown, for which the district remains safe from the Coronavirus.

More than 200 migrant workers, who had started their journey back home in buses on Monday, are expected to reach the district tonight.

Upon their arrival, they will be placed under institutional quarantine for 14 days as per regulations, the Collector said.
