Ganjam Collector Throws up Challenge to Prove Witchcraft and Take Rs 50K Reward

Berhampur: In yet another innovative approach to deal with social evil practices, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today threw a bizarre challenge to prove the same and announced cash reward of Rs 50,000 for someone who proves existence of black magic and witchcraft.

Notably, there has been a rise in instances of crime being committed in the name of black magic or superstitious practices in Ganjam district.

“If anyone can prove the presence of witchcraft, I will reward the concerned person with Rs 50,000,” the soft spoken Kulange said .

However, the Collector made it clear that the award money will be given from his own pocket.

Sensing the need of awareness, Kulange said that special teams will be formed to organize awareness drive at schools and colleges in the district.
