Chatrapur: The government officials and staffs in Ganjam district today decided to donate their one day’s salary to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (COVID-19 Fund) to help people affected by the deadly Coronavirus.
An amount of Rs 5.13 crore will be donated to the CMRF for better management of the pandemic, said an official.
Earlier, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange appealed to all the employees to put forward their supporting hands for better management of the pandemic and donate their one day’s salary to the CMRF immediately.
“You are aware of outbreak of COVID-19 posing serious threat to the life of people of India. Shortage of funds may lead to further deterioration of the situation in the matter of meeting unforeseen contingencies”, the Collector said.
