Ganjam: Govt School Teachers Donate One Day’s Salary for COVID-19 Fight

Chatrapur: Giving boost to Odisha’s united fight against COVID-19, the government school teachers in Ganjam district today contributed their one day’s salary to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to contain the corona pandemic.

All teachers of government and government-aided and all employees and staff and teachers of District Project Office Samagra Sikhaya, and Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, and also some private schools of Chhatrapur Block have donated to the CMRF.

The School and Mass Education Department in the district handed over a demand draft of Rs 98,24,313 to Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange at his office.

With this, total contribution from Mass Education Department of Ganjam to the CMRF COVID-19 Fund reached Rs 1,39,84,184 as on May 2.

The teachers are extending helping hand to the district administration in its efforts to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
