Bhubaneswar: Gobindpur Sarapanch Padmalaya Dhal, who became famous for her humanitarian act of taking care of the quarantine people as her family members has got an invitation from Naveen Niwas. Padmalaya was appreciated by the Chief Minister for taking care of the quarantine center inmates of Godabarish Bidyapitha in Govindpur village of Aul block. An emotional video of Padmalaya went viral in which she was seen being thanked by the inmates of the quarantine center. In those 14 days of quarantine, the bond between the Sarpancha and the inmates became stronger like family members.
The care and compassion showed by the lady has become an example for others. She, along with her husband and other officials made it sure that the inmates do not suffer any problem during their short stay. Women inmates of the center were seen crying and hugging the Sarpanch out of emotional attachment.
Coming across the inspiring news, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated her for her dedication. 5T Secretary V K Pandian also called the lady Sarpanch and interacted with her for about 15 minutes. He also invited her to visit Naveen Niwas to meet the Chief Minister.
