Bhubaneswar: Inspector General (IG) Harminder Pal on Thursday took over as the Odisha Frontier Commander of Border Security Force (BSF) from IG Ashwini Kumar Singh.
Pal, the BSF cadre officer of 1984 batch, said that operations against the Maoists will be intensified in coordination with the state administration.
He further added that emphasis will be given on facilitation of developmental projects of in the interior areas in the State.
IG Ashwini Kumar Singh has been transferred to Siliguri in West Bengal.
