Heat Waves Sweeps Odisha, 14 Town Record Above 40 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Heat waves continue to sweep several parts of Odisha as 14 towns recorded above 40 degree Celsius today, said Met department report.

While Titlagarh recorded highest 45.8 degree Celsius to become hottest town in the State followed by Bhawanipatna with 44.03 degree Celsius.

Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 34.7 degree Celsius.

A trough runs from Chhattisgarh to interior Tamilnadu across Telangana coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema at 0.9km, above mean sea level.

Dry Northwesterly/westerly winds at lower levels penetrating over interior Odisha. Under the above influence, Heatwave condition very likely to prevail over isolated pockets of Western Odisha.
