Bhubaneswar: Heavy rains induced by the low pressure area hovering over West Central Bay of Bengal continued in the state and have inundated many low laying areas in the coastal and southern districts.
According to the MET Department, heavy rains will continue for another 24 hours in Odisha and neighboring states. As the rains continue in the coastal districts, Met Department has also predicted heavy rainfall in Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and other places in interior Odisha will also witness rains in the next 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, rainfall recorded in various places are as follows: Bhubaneswar – 100.2 mm, Gopalpur 104 mm, Puri 166 mm, Chandbali 73 and Balasore 59.6 mm.
