Bhubaneswar: Even as the counting of votes continue for the Bijepur by-elections, Biju Janata Dal is all set to win with a huge margin. After fifteenth round of counting, BJD’s Rita Sahu was far ahead from BJP’s Sanat Gadtia. According to data from polling officials, after the 15th round of counting, Rita Sahu was leading with a margin of 75 thousand 247 votes. While BJD has got 103318 votes, BJP and Congress received 28071 and 4287 votes respectively.
As the trends indicate, it will be a landslide victory for Biju Janata Dal candidate Rita Sahu. Another 6 rounds of counting is still awaited and it indicates BJD’s Rita Sahu may get more than One lakh Margin from her opponent BJP’s Sanat Gadtia.
