New Delhi: The number of Coronavirus infections in the country increased to more than two lakh 66 thousand with the addition of nearly ten thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. While Maharashtra continues to add the maximum number of Coronavirus cases as 2259 cases detected, Delhi has reported more than 1300 cases in the last 24 hours.
The Union Health Ministry has deployed central teams in 15 states and UTs witnessing major spurt in cases to assist containment of the deadly disease. For the last seven days since India began its Unlock 1.0, the number of cases have seen a massive increase. The death toll in the country due to coronavirus has increased to 7,466 with 266 new fatalities.
