India’s COVID-19 Tally Crosses 75-Lakh Mark with 55,722 New Cases

New Delhi: India has reported a spike of 55,511 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total count of coronavirus cases to 7,550,273, the Union Health Ministry data stated.

The death toll due to COVID-19 reached 114,642 in the country with 579 deaths in last 24 hours.
While, the active cases in the country stands at 7,72,055, as many as 66,63,608 patients have recovered from the virus.

The global tally of coronavirus cases stands at 40,264,218.

While 30,108,031 have recovered, 1,118,167 have died so far.

The US, the worst-hit country, has 8,387,798 cases. It is followed by India, which has 7,548,238 cases, Brazil (5,235,344) and Russia (1,399,334), according to reports.
